Where Can I Serve?

A growing church always has a need for someone to be involved. EVERY Christian needs a place of service within God's church. This is your opportunity to serve.

Below are some of the areas of greatest need in the life of First Baptist Church. It is essential that God's people be willing to serve the church. Some service opportunities have more responsibilities than others. Remember that not every volunteer position is suitable for every individual. IMPORTANT REMINDER: In order to protect our children and aour church, those volunteering to serve in Prschool Ministry, Children's Ministry, and Youth Ministry will need to give permission for FBC to conduct a Criminal Background Check.

EXTENDED CARE VOLUNTEERS
First Baptist Church has begun to implement some new policies concerning Extended Care on Sunday mornings. We STILL NEED at least TWO individuals in every classroom during the Extended Care time. First and foremost, we need parents to dedicate themselves to work ONE SUNDAY PER QUARTER. We also need others who are able to sacrifice one Worship Time per quarter to help provide safe and loving care.

• You need to be dedicated to attend Extended Care at your scheduled time slot every quarter or enlist another worker to fill in or trade if you are not able to work on your particular week.
• You must be willing to provide loving care and undivided attention to the class to which you are assigned.
• Instructions and support will be given to you to assist you in these duties.

SUBSTITUTE SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS
There is always a need for individuals who are willing to substitues when teachers are out of town. One of our goals is to establish a "Substitute Pool" of people whom we can call on when needed to fill in. Substitute teachers will be used in cases where a regular teacher must be absent for one reason or another. We need individuals and couples willing to substitute for adult classes and for children's classes.
