At FBC Searcy, we see your children as one of our top priorities.

Through the Gospel Project, preteen-specific curriculum, Awana, and Kids Choirs, you can expect to watch your child grow in their faith and knowledge of our Lord.  The entire Second Floor of our Children & Youth Building is dedicated specifically to our Children's Ministry.  This page provides a glimpse of the things that your child can participate in from the Children's Ministry at FBC Searcy.

Come grow with us at FBC Searcy.  You will not be disappointed!

Life Groups for Kids

We believe that Sunday morning Life Groups are a vital part of ministry to children in today’s world. That is why we place a high priority on this program. You will find a class for every age with carefully chosen curriculum to guide them into developing faith in God and increasing that faith as they grow older. Here are our current Children's Life Groups:

1st Grade - 2nd Grade - 3rd Grade - 4th Grade - Preteens (5th and 6th Grade)

Missions Education

Acts 1:8 and Matthew 20:19-20 remind us that missions is a vital part of the Church. Through Girls in Action (G.A.) and Royal Ambassadors (R.A.), children are taught about missions activities and how missionaries around the United States and around the world are making an impact for Christ. Learning about missions activities around the world is an important part of raising the next generation of missionaries.

Kids Choirs

We place a high priority on instilling a heart for worship and worship leadership in kids’ hearts at a young age. We offer Music Makers for grades 1-3 and Young Musicians for grades 4-6! We seek to engage them in music and worship in exciting ways and provide opportunities for them to share and lead in our worship services. They also get to participate in yearly Christmas and non-seasonal musicals and productions.

Awana is an acronym that stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” and is based on 2 Timothy 2:15 which says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” This is a discipleship program for kids. It includes scripture memorization, Bible teaching, and fun games/recreation. Through Sparks (1st & 2nd graders), Truth & Training Ultimate Adventure (3rd & 4th graders), and Truth & Training Ultimate Challenge (5th & 6th graders), Awana is teaching kids more about God and how to have a relationship with Him.

Other Kids Events and Activities

Every summer brings the excitement of Vacation Bible School. Kids VBS is open to children who have completed Grades K-6. This year we will be going on a wild adventure with LifeWay’s “In the Wild” VBS. As we seek out exotic animals, we will also find snapshots of real-life encounters with Jesus in Scripture. “In the Wild” VBS is June 3-7, 9am to 12 noon, and is FREE.

Each summer brings a variety of fun activities and day trips designed specifically for children. Whether it’s a Cooking Class, a Lemonade Stand, Water Games, or a trip to the zoo, each summer is filled with fun. Activities and schedules will be available in May.

CentriKid is a high-energy, Bible-based camp experience for kids who have completed Grades 3-6. Filled with activities, fun, worship, and Bible study, CentriKid is a life-changing experience for your kids. In 2019, CentriKid is July 22-26 at Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Contact the church office for more information. Cost is $300 per child, but there are a small number of partial and/or full scholarships available.
